DLSA training on mental health outreach
On April 2, 2018, APAAR had a training seminar on Mental Health and APAAR’s work at the District Legal Services Authority, JALANDHAR. Judge Tiwana, Secretary DLSA along with law students who do outreach work on mental health through the DLSA were present at the seminar The students showed enthusiasm and interest and asked crucial questions about their acquaintances with mental health needs. It was decided to make a registry of mentally ill persons in their villages visited (in Jalandhar district) and collaborate with local schools to plan local awareness programs.
