Niramaya health insurance enrolment

Ongoing: APAAR’s Niramaya health insurance enrolment for persons with ID/cerebral palsy/ multiple disabilities is ongoing. Today in two Jalandhar villages, we visited Kitu and Raman. Abandoned. Unable to stand or walk. Cerebral palsy. Treatable surgically with walking aids. Kitu had a surgery and was sent home next day. No physiotherapy. No assistive device evaluation. Raman’s family never got correct guidance from the Sarab Shiksha Abhyaan. Both languish. APAAR builds trust. Then gets orthopedics and PMR evaluation.
